Which do you think are safe and which aren't?

all safe except for VBS, (visual basic script), also look out for .exe, .com, .bat, .ws. Scan them for virus's and keep your AV up-to-date.

search the files....go to yahoo type in

.vbs file
.wmvs file

you can find all of these on the net and what programs open what file


anyway...almost ANY file can contain a virus...should deffinately have a virus scanner

.vbs files can have viruses. .htm and .html files can't have viruses, but they can lead you to sites that downlod viruses onto your system.

To be safe, never open anything from a source you don't know. If you don't recognize the sender, delete it unread.

any thing you download should be scanned by a programme like avg free
