The USA military resources would not be stretched to defeat Iran..
If Iran started a war, it would probably be with Israel...
Danger is islamic fundamentalist / terrorists being given a
nuclear bomb to take to USA and / or Israel and then either using it for extortion or actually setting it off...
Of course, if / when this happens, the worlds liberals will blame Bush for not taking them out sooner...

Firstly, why would Iran go to war?. You are assuming they are an aggressor, in recent times the U.S.A has been to war with more countries than anyone else, lets not forget Israel as well. In all of these wars the U.K has given support. I think the question should be, who will the U.S go to war with next, who?..Middle Eastern Country...WHY?...OIL

They already had a long and costly war with Iraq,so there is a possibility this could resume when Iraq breaks up into separate parts. their leader as a stated aim to wipe Israel of the face of the earth.

Why and who would they invade?Israel is out of the question.Remember desert storm and the scuds?Israel wouldn't hestitate on using its nukes if got invaded.They would have nothing to lose would they?Iraq?Not while we are still there.Syria?No chance,big friends.Pakistan?No chance,they have nukes as well.Afghanistan?Same again,not while we are there.Iran points the gun,but wants somebody else to pull the trigger i.e Lebanon.

they would just keep sending undercover dudes to iraq to oust american soldiers and then take it over them selves along with kuwait. then wait have a show down over the pennisula for control over all oil.
then go into afghanistan and oust forces there and have the taliban reinstalled and make a new persian empire

i've got been asserting this many circumstances over: "conflict with Iran is an particularly undesirable thought." yet will human beings hear to me? NOPE.
