These are all post-hardcore, screamo type stuff for the most part. Not sure what you're into when you ask for good rockin' music but this list has a bunch of amazing songs (:

Face Down - The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus
Black Mamba - The Academy Is...
Almost Here - The Academy Is...
In Too Far - Acceptance
Never Take Friendship Personal - Anberlin
Devotion & Desire - Bayside
Alcohol & Alter Boys - Bayside
Pierce The Veil - Before Today
** The Quiet Things That No One Ever Knows - Brand New
To Trixie and Reptile, Thanks For Everything - Chiodos
Make Tonight - Emanuel (kind of sexual but really screamo)
Walls - Emery
Mad World - Evergreen Terrace
I Can Barely Breathe - Just Surrender
Caution: Dangerous Curves Ahead - Maylene and The Sons Of Disaster
Midnight Train To Bellevue - Mozart Season
Memphis Will Be Laid To Wasted - Norma Jean
Take Me Away - Plain White T's
Planning A Prison Break - The Receiving End Of Sirens
What's Up Now? - Scary Kids Scaring Kids
Buried A Lie - Senses Fail
Bite to Break Skin - Senses Fail
** Smashed Into Pieces - Silverstein
Champagne - Sugarcult
My Blue Heaven - Taking Back Sunday (basically anything by Taking Back Sunday from their albums "Tell All Your Friends" & "Where You Want To Be")
Signals Over The Air - Thursday
I Am The Killer - Thursday
Young & Aspiring - Underoath (anything by Underoath from their album "They're Only Chasing Safety" would be great, really)

Indie Instrumental Surf Music. (You might be surprised)
Start at http://www.RickshawRecords.com or type "surf music" into MySpace, and download a bunch of guitar-based, rockin' instrumental surf. The best for an end-of-summer party.

What about some of Bon Jovi or Rob Thomas' music? They're my favorites. Or you can always go to lyrics.com

if you want the crowd to go crazy, cannibal corpse or slipknot. if you just wanna rock out, try the foo fighters or zeppelin or green day. there's so many.
