Yes nursing shortage drums up demand, what started out as a temporary shortages is now become part of the disease, the attractive higher pay is luring full time nurses to travel, increasing the shortage and causing hospital to hire even more travelers.

Yes! My mom works for a nursing home and they are always shorthanded. And I know there are allot of bills in the works to get more nurses into education programs and raise the pay of nurses. Im not sure about the Houston area...but I wouldnt be suprised.

No. Not at all. If anyone has a job it's the nurses. They're always advertising in the classified for them but there are still more nurses with jobs then practically any other profession.

Yes, we need nurses. Especially short nurses, hence the nursing shortage.
