Are there options that will cause tcpdump to dump to a file in human readable format instead of the raw format? I need the -w and -C so I can do file rolling but when those are used the output to the file is raw, and I would like it to be human legable. If I were able to I would add the -n and -q options as well. As it stands now I take the full file and use the -r -q -n and direct it into a new file then gzip -9 it.

Hmmm, so you're using -w to write to a raw file with -C for file rolling, and then reading it back with -r -q -n... Looks like you might have to do some perl scripting, or settle for using Ethereal, is that an option? There should be a knowledge base or mailing lists you can post to at www.tcpdump.org which might help.

this might properly be an undemanding one. If the international gets too warm, we've shown that we are able to outlive it because of the fact the "Cradles of Civilization" have been in warm, dry aspects. If the international gets chilly, then we've already shown that we are able to stand up to ice a while, and that's with out any "severe" technologies. If the international gets overpopulated, it is going to, out of necessity, stability itself out. i do no longer think of we would desire to stress approximately surviving the subsequent one hundred years. the actual question is a thank you to we shop the subsequent one hundred years from transforming into the subsequent dark Age.
