The Everly Brothers respective names are Isaac Donald Everly (Don) who was born on February 1, 1937 in Brownie, Kentucky and his brother Philip Everly (Phil) was born on January 19,1939 in Chicago .Don and Phil were taught guitar at an early age and began singing with their parents at ages eight and six respectively, a practice that they continued through high school.
The 2 brothers had joined their father Isaac (Ike) Everly and their mother Margaret, uncles Charlie and Leonard, and by 1950 The Everly Family Show was the most popular in the region.
The first song the Everly Brothers' recorded was "Bye Bye Love" which established Don and Phil Everly as legendary performers.
