They are both pretty easy exams. There is a course you can take. However, I found that the best way to study was to take sample exams. They told me what I knew and what I had to study. I'd then read the chapter on the topics where I was weak & take the test again.

Take a class for each (if any are offered in your area.) Make sure you read the book from cover to cover and answer AS MANY review questions as you can. I took the 7 & failed it back in 2000 because I didn't take the time to really learn & understand the whole options thing. Just know that it sucks having to study day in and day out but once you've passed, that's it. Best of luck.

Get a good study guide and follow their study schedule (seems mine called for studying a couple topics/chapters each day for about 4 weeks).

Take the chapter/topic tests and note which topics you struggled with.

Spend a good deal of time taking practice exams under similar test conditions (sitting still for 3+ hours isn't easy even if the material isn't difficult).
