I'd hafta say the strangest thing I ever saw was at a restaurant in Wisconsin.. fried cheese curds.

LOL, I was about to eat lunch too and now thinking about that made me lose my appetite.

Oh, man, cheese curds are the best! Who can say no to deep fried cheese?!

In Minnesota, there is a dish called lutefisk. You take a perfectly fine fillet of white fish or cod and you soak it in LYE (yes, that's right, lye) for a day and then you cook it.

Serve the freshly cooked lutefisk together with potatoes, pease pudding and melted fat from pork ribs or bacon, or melted butter.

I've never tried it but I have heard that its texture is roughly equivalent to that of snot.

In Scotland, freshly slaughtered haggis (if they can catch them - the long-legged variety can run through the thistles faster than a fella in a kilt, I can tell you!) and English tourists.

In England in general, jellied eels, or maybe braun.

In Norfolk in particular, probably samphire or roast road kill.

Meat from a supermarket. I don't get it. I mean, if you're going to eat an animal, you might as well know where it is from.

Its not strange but people put butter AND mayonaise on their corn on the cob. The other one is Gravy on french fries.
