is that when they force feed ducks which makes there liver grow to abnormal size,and then they kill the duck for its liver,if that is the case then,its certainly cruel

hmm, never had it, but I love liver, so I'd probably eat it.
Foie Gras is no more sick than anything else. Get with the program, we don't have to fight for our survival anymore, so we've become a nation of weak, whiny complainers that blame our problems on everyone else. In the meantime, we've forgotten everything useful about knowing how to survive in the world, when everything isn't 'pre-packaged'.
I've milked animals, I've helped pluck freshly killed chickens, I catch and clean my own fish, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that.

Veal is cruel too. But I think it is silly for Chicago to ban foie gras.

I don't eat liver, period. That is an organ for filtering out stuff from the body, stuff that doesn't belong in the body...why would I want to take the nasties part of another animal and eat it?

no foie gras is good, veal is good. so what do you eat weeds and grass? are they not living things too. try eating dirt you can make mud pies with the tears you are crying while i eat bambi

I didn't know what is was really until recently. I suppose I would have tried it til I heard how they make it. I don't think I would ever try it now.
