small porcupine with smaller needles and they roll into a ball when threatened

Hahah, wow, they're nothing even remotely related to porcupines, although I guess to an extent they do resemble a tiny miniature version.
Go to: www.hedgiepets.com or hedgehogcentral.com. Their quills aren't like porcupine quills, they dont shoot them, but are more like a stiff hair that can be prickly, but rarely ever breaks the skin. They roll into a ball and hiss as a defense mode, but are very personable.

a hedgehog? isn't it a type of mammal, sort of like a porqupine but with short hair. it might be rodent type...

Ohhh they're so CUTE...I wanted a pet hodgehog but the state of PA says their illegal (and I'm serious)...
