I have a 31 day cycle. Last month it was 37 days. I am on cycle day 20 now and according to the tests I have not ovualted yet. Is it possible that I missed it? Could your leutal phase be over 20 days long or shorter?

The luteal phase is the time after ovulation and before menstruation. If you have not ovulated yet, you are not yet in your luteal phase. You are still in the pre-ovulatory phase, or entering the ovulatory phase. Checking your cervical mucus will indicate whether you are potentially fertile, the quality of mucus will most likely resemble egg whites if you are fertile and about to ovulate.

The average luteal phase is 14 days, it is within the range of normal to have a luteal phase of 11 days to 16 days.

Anything less than 11 days is considered sub-fertile, because it generally takes 6-10 days for an egg to implant and start growing. A luteal phase of less than 11 days can indicate a progesterone deficiency, and should be checked out by your doctor if it is consistently short.

I have personally gotten pregnant the cycle after having a luteal phase of ten days. (It was after giving birth, and my cycles were starting to get more regular after breastfeeding)

nicely i'm questioning that from the way that you're speaking that you extremely choose this or extremely attempting to ward off this. basically because you purchased a neg. effect would not recommend some thing. I recieved neg. outcomes until eventually i replaced into about 3 months preg. i ought to attend and do not fret and take yet another attempt in a week. so that you do not keep operating at each and every sweat or fluid that you skinny AF is comming then positioned a mild pad on basically to ascertain. The cramps ought to nicely be because you're overdue and making waiting to commence and the sore breasts and veins are because you've larger hormones this month. good success on even with the reality that you desire.

your luetal phase is always 14 days unless you have a luetal phase defect

ALL women ovulate 14 days BEFORE there next period because you have an extended cycle you have more time at the begining...

with a 37 day cycle last month you ovulated on day 23
if you have your normal 31 day cycle you would ovulate on day 17
