Jay Leno all the way. Letterman makes the show all about himself not his guests. Leno has entertaining segments like Headlines, Midnight Confessions, and my favorite Jaywalking.

Letterman - Leno carries the joke on for too long.
Carson was the best though!

I find Jay leno more entertaining especially his segment on weird newspaper clippings that people send in. David Letterman's top ten is stupid and he seems uncomfortable with his guests

Leno can be funny, but overall, I'd go with Letterman.

Leno, he is great on the monologues and most of his little segments before receiving the guest are good of course not counting the ones John Melendez he is not funny at all.
