we have the choice of either hbo or showtime for three months...which should we choose. i enjoy weeds (we get it on netflix now, and the newest season wont come for another few months). we also enjoy sopranos, taxi cab confessions etc.

HBO has produced many more hit TV shows. Sopranos, Band of Brothers, Sex in the City... need I say more?

HBO.... The only good thing Showtime offers is "weeds", while HBO has Sopranos, Entourage, Deadwood, Six Feet Under, Oz, and a thousand good shows... and new ones to come, weeds is the best Showtime has to offer, and is also the only good show they have ever made!! HBO has sunday night on lock! Now you know. Trust.

Tough call, but I'd say HBO if you want some of the mainstream stuff you specifically mentioned. Showtime if you prefer some off the wall stuff (Penn and Tellier) etc. I used to have both, but recently I canceled 'em both to save some money!!!

HBO has the better specials. SHOWTIME has the better sports. Of course that is all about to be wiped clear with so many specials being cancelled and no good sports to watch.

I don't know!! because my cabel company screwed me out of HBO, so all I can say is Showtime!! LOL!!
