I've just had an amazing year and a half relationship only to be dumped and find out through his family and friends that he was going to propose to me which freaked him out and ultimately resulted in the break up. I didn't even mention marriage- he has created the pressure in his own head. I have seen so many similar examples with my friends, and in many cases the guy will come back after some time and beg for another chance. Why do you do this guys???

Never had that problem myself, usually they are pressuring me into marriage and I run. But not this time. Found a guy that keeps me on my toes and keeps me smiling even when I don't want to and when he proposed I jumped at the chance. But some men find committing themselves to one person isn't enough and they know it therefore leave the relationship or maybe with your guy it's because although he wanted to propose, he ran because in his head he thought you were better off without him and didn't want to trap you. Could be a million things that ran through his head. But if he does come back crawling, you'll have a hard decision to make. Try again and possibly be heartbroken again, or attempt at succession. i personally don't have any problem with commitment but i feel sum guys do bcos they can't see themselves getting married to a lady thats not 100% perfect for them, but they have to propose to her bcos its d next step every woman wants. Have u not seen a situation where a guy has commitment issues with a particular lady but ends up marrying another girl.
