You should get some kind of extra-curricular credit for your Best Answers if they truly are good answers as good answers and your drive to add to society shows social and intellectual initiative. Perhaps your professor / admissions rep. could read your best answers and assign credit.
I doubt you'll get it, but I think it's a great concept for those who are here to really be helpful and add to the knowledge base of the world.
Keep dreaming big and thinking out of the box!! This could be a revolutionary idea -- most of those started out sounding bizarre, so why not?

The world probably isn't ready for the listing of best answer credits on a resume - people reading the resume would likely think putting that there was pretty strange, so I wouldn't.
As far as college credit, probably not going to happen anytime soon.

User created content such as Yahoo Answers, YouTube and others are relatively new phenomena. Where it will take us is still evolving but your suggestion of providing recognition is interesting. Yahoo Answers will having a life of its own over time and if it becomes very popular and well publicized, then the value of it on your resume will be more important. Right now, it is probably still in the early stages but the potential is certainly there in the future.

It depends.
In case you've been answering the easy questions, it shouldn't be counted. If you've been answering questions that are relevant towards your education I would list my credits on a resume.
