Number stamped on block near distributor is: TII 20 E. Has Powerglide transmission. What year is the engine. Note that the characters after the "T" are I's, not 1's

you might have to take it in to a cheverolet dealership to find out

Try searching here. I would guess it's a 62-65 engine based on the Powerglide. Not a very common engine. Used mostly in the Chevy II/Nova.

Excellent question. I can only suggest going to a chevy dealer, the parts window; or to a good auto parts store; or perhaps to an engine rebuild shop. Maybe somebody will know, or provide you with the way to find out. Just take the number in. Also take in any number found on carb, or other parts, that you may have (if any). I like this question. Challenging!

Is it IN a vehicle or the engine is BY IT SELF?.I think it's a 2000,You can get the vin off the vehicle if it's In a vehicle,That would tell you the year.Is it seq. fuel injection? Multi-port, DOHC,carburated.Does it have a ROTATING distributor or a coil pack with a crank position sensor on the dampener.
