A reflection means that they want you to spend some time thinking about the meanings of the book and then to write down your thoughts. By "personal and critical", you are being told that you should include two things: first, how might the book relate to your life, and secondly, how well do you think the author covered what (s)he was trying to say. For example, maybe the book is about someone growing up and trying to establish her independence from her parents. You can first talk about similarities and differences between the character's experiences and those you and your friends have faced, and perhaps if the book gave you any insights into either how to handle a situation, or how other people in different circumstances might be going through similar thoughts and feelings to your own. Then you can talk about the book itself from a literary perspective - did the author present a character who seemed realistic, or did the character seem to lack dimension. Was there information about the character or situation that you felt you needed to understand him/her, which was not provided. Was the book written in a way that you found easy or hard to read and why? Were the words used strong emotionally, or did they paint visual images for you? Were you left feeling satisfied or frustrated at the end of the book? I'm sorry that I don't know of any websites which can give you examples.
