No way. All Democrats are unemployed and living off welfare?!?!! What about all the Hollywood liberals who count their fortunes in the millions? What about all the college professors who are very liberal and are living very well? What about the Kennedys? Remember, a "depression" is defined as an economic state where the national unemployment rate is over 10%, and the U.S. is pretty far from that. While it is true that many Democrats are unemployed and living off welfare, it's also true that the majority of them are trying to find a job. There is only a small percentage of people on welfare that have decided that it's easier to sashay down to the welfare office once a month and say "Gimme my check."

Why not refer people to the question you speak of instead of instigating by asking if it's true? You know (or should know) it isn't. And "republicans" as a whole don't say it as some are now suggesting. A few people might SARCASTICALLY say it, knowing that it is primarily Democrats/liberals that are for welfare and most other social programs.

Why do you think most low-income/jobless people vote Democrat for the most part? They vote Democrat because they know they'll be well taken care of with them in office.

For the people talking about Republicans lying about Democrats....give me a break. It's FAR worse on the other side in that regard.

That is a bunch of crap, the stupidest thing I've ever heard, it's more Republican bs. First off, I would really love to know how someone can live on welfare anyway, you dont get all that much money. What stupidity, I dont know why people say this stuff. Like someone would really want to live on welfare if they had some other choice. Whoever said that is a moron. All the Democrats I know are employed.

what can i say to this .roughly 135 million people working in america at a median income of 30,000 a year and a budget that consums 2 trillion dollars annualy each worker must contibute around 15,000 dollars .THIS does not include money or investments accrued over time or the intrest on the debt .
STATE taxes do not figure in yet and account for another 9% or so of income or another 3000 dollars thats 18,000 per person in taxes alone each year and we have not gotten to the sin taxes or motel or gas which include another 12% on average to increase the burden to 21,000 per person .this leaves an income of 30,000 dollars reduced to 9,000 bucks and subtract from this a 300 dollar car payment 100 dollar insurance 700 dollar rent that put every average american in the hole 3,500 per year . So welfare must pay atleast 3500 per person in order to balance it out .THE rich must ofset this cost and do not like this at all and want to reduce services on us the working poor who are a burden to them all .
IF you have to work for a living it is costing them 3,500 a year to have you working .YOU are all unable to take care of your selfs and must rely on uncle sam and the rich workers who run america to provide you with a life .
I know people who think this way and believe most people are a burden .
HOW twisted is that ? NOW we have 300 million people 130 million work that leaves 170 million doing what .37 million live in poverty 10 million are homeless 3 million are physicaly impaired 35 million are retired and 65 million under 18. THATS what 152 millionnot working leaving just 20million or so people unaccounted for .
NOW i wonder what they are up to .THIS is less then 5% so these must be the super rich in america who live entirely off family money collected over the years of the very people the rich complain they must support on welfare .
IT seems far more likely these people rely on our stupidity and allow them to collect from us more then they should as the bankers and land owners and employers.
THEY have it backwards we support them not they support the rest of us . wake up america .

I wouldn't think so, you should check it out. Go directly to the Federal websites that will tell you this information. Don't stray to Liberal or Conservative sites because they only put what they want to put up, go straight to the source and find this info, I'll check it out myself.
