I am in love with a man that i love for a long time. We dont have relationship but we might if I would be certain about this. He is handsome, I can talk with him for houres, I trust him and respect his opinion, think of him always, i admire him. The problem is that although he attracts me I dont feel that I would like to make out or make love with him. Does that mean that I dont really love him or i am not ready as I am only 17? Can you be in love but without that "physical" component?

You can love him platonically but to totally be in love with him, there has to be some physical attraction there as well.

My dear, you are seventeen. You have a lifetime of fun and adventure ahead. At the moment he sounds like a really excellent friend. Dont feel pressure to make out if you dont feel attracted to him. You never know, in a year or two you may feel differently, love him in a deeper way and you can have a more physical relationship then. Right now i think have lots of fun, enjoy life and take it easy.

There are different kinds of love you feel for different people. Maybe you are in love with him as a friend and just feel its something more because you love him. In most cases of real love, you want the physical part of the relationship too.

I'd say both that although you love him, it's not the "in love" kind of love and also yes you are too young and probably know that. Take your time, you still have many years left in you before you need / want to settle down.

Nope,i don't think that u love him at all, u just like the way he looks and do what ever he does and loving someone means that u want to make love to that person.

How old is he?? If he is around 30/32 years old and maybe he is your teacher.. I can tell you that you are infatuated of him.. and you are right to think that it wouldn't like to date with him and less to have sex with him.. Take him just a good friend..

IDK it's different for everyone...I am in that kind of relationship right now. i think you definetly do love him and you should talk to him about a non physical realationship and if he agrees you should just wait it out and you'll probably start a physical relationship...it just takes time.
