All the time! And most of the time they are much better "listeners" and more understanding than my human friends!

All the time. And I believe my dog understands most of the time. Once about 2 months after we got him I told him to go get the baby out of the drive way, and he did. I was shocked. I didnt expect him to do it. Another time I told him to bite my husbands knees and he did. So I always talk to him, for the most part it is just to say shut up you idiot, lol. He does enough talking on his own!

I do all the time. I treat my dogs like they are my children and sometimes I convince myself that they talk back to me. It makes for an awkward situation when i'm in public or around people i don't know. But i love being weird so it's all good. :) by the way...my fish says hi. haha

Oh ya- they really understand more than you think. At least about what kind of mood you are in by the tone of your voice..they also get to know certain words very well.. I talk to my dogs all the time and my cat and I have long, involved conversations about everything...She meows,growls,sneezes,yowls....

Of course... Even if they can't understand all that you say they enjoy the attention...

My dog definitely knew a few words.. i could call out any her toys and she'd always grab the right one...

And when i'd oversleep on a Saturday morn, I'd overhear my wife ask her 'Where's Daddy?' and hear those paws tearing up the carpet as she bolted to my bedroom to wake me up...
