Before doing this, check with the manufacturer and/or Microsoft to be sure your computer is compatible with Windows 2000 Server.

Being that this is posted in the Laptops & Notebooks section, are you wanting to install this on a laptop? Server operating systems on laptops are rather unusual.

First you will want to make sure you have the software to install Windows2000Server on to your computer. Next, you will need a cd to erase the hard drive. You can download a free a Ultimate Boot CD at www.ultimatebootcd.com/download.html there is also an in depth explanation in overview of that site. I have used the 5.09 version with gwscan to write zeros to hard drive and it has worked excellent. Go into your BIOS to make sure it will boot to cd drive. Then after you have zeroed hard drive load your Windows2000Server software and follow the instructions.
