when i type it out like this vulgarnaya@.ru I get an error message saying the adress is not rite. I asks if i forgot a comma or smething like that. this comp stuff is fairly new to me yet, ive only been using one since january. somebody has been waiting for a week now for me to write her so the faster i can get some help the better, i would greatly appreciate it very much !!!!!

.ru is a russian domain, it looks like you are missing the domain of the address,
e.g instead of vulgarnaya@xxxxxx.ru you are just typing vulgarnaya@.ru, replace xxxxx.

what email service are you using?
It will be better if you ask the other person to send you an email first. Then all that you have to do is to click on the reply button, the address is automatically written.
only .ru is not right. There should be something before it. For example
myname@hotmail.co.ru
myname@yahoo.co.ru
etc, etc.

Yup. You don't have the complete address. Go back to the email you got from your friend in Russia and get the correct address.
