Israel is worse than the prodomently muslem nations aroud it. it engages in state sponsered terror with absolutly no effort to hide it. for example, operation wrath of god. after the munic massacre, Israeli inteligence tracked down the perpatrators and, insted of bringing them to justace rather than bring them to trail like any reasonable nation would, they systematicly hunted them down and killed them in ways spcificly designed to cause maximum fear. if thats not terrorism i dont know what is. also the israeli government has a nasty habit of assaenating high up members the plaentenian leadership under te guise of "fighting terror" just because they want to keep the palestians in check. also in lebonon the israeli government targeted sanation, electrical and other munisipel sites to crearte unlivable conditions, then destroyed briges and roadways to prevent the helpless lebonese civians from escaping the carnage.

The land of "Israel" should be split in half. The northern half would be Palestine and the southern half Israel.
The new Israel and new Palestine completely disarmed, by force if needed.

In the middle occupying Jerusalem would be the new U.N. HQ with a corridor that divides these lands from the Mediterranean to the Red Sea. Stationed there should be 200,000 man Rapid Reaction Force capable of delivering a serious smack down to ANYONE in the region that acts out of line.

You should use spell check.

If your spelling is any indication of your education. It's understandable why you fail to see the difference between terrorist actions and Israel's response to terrorist acts.

Wrath of God was a good example of what should be done to all terrorists. Why should they get a trial when they did not and do not consider the guilt or innocence of those they kill? It makes no difference if it's the peons or the leaders when it comes to terrorists. Sow the wind and reap the whirlwind.

As far as Lebanon is concerned. You sleep with dogs you wake up with fleas. The deal in 2000 was Israel releases the prisoners AFTER Hezbollah is disarmed. Lebanon didn't live up to it's part of the deal. And look what happened?

If you really want peace, talk peace. Don't go starting a fight. If you think someone else started the fight fight them first! And IF you didn't know it the UN Sanctioned TWO nations in 1948. Israel AND Palestine. Israel was shuned recognition by Arabs. Palestine wasn't recognized because recognition of Palestine would have meant tacit recognition of Israel. But has Hamas or Hezbollah or any other militant group EVER attacked the UN headquarters? The UN started this. Go attack them!

You bring up some very good points, but it's easy to forget that Israel is a country surrounded by hostile territory. Why those territories are hostile is a completely different issue, however there is a more general point of why the problems in the ME are collectively called a crisis.

IMHO, Israel, as the apparently civilised and democratic country in the region, should clean it's house out, firstly. That is to say, get out of Palestine, stop trying to hijack Jeruselum and give Jewish Arabs the right to deciede their own fate. Secondly it should take notice of some of the UN Resolutions aimed at itself, instead of ignoring the UN until it sees fit. Thirdly, Israel should take the higher moral ground sometimes, being the enlightened democracy it says it is. If they bit their tounge and did this once in a while, then some of the other states around wouldn't have a reason to attack Israel and the crisis would become easier to deal with. Things like Operation Wrath of God and the completely unjustified killing of civillians do nothing but stoke the fires of hate against Israel in the region, and make the situation much worse.

you are right, israel is terrorist state yet we are forced to blindly support them, what they have done to their neighbors, and the Palestinians is no different than what the Jews went through during the Holocaust, yet they are forgiven and all they're atrocities are overlooked, what they did to Lebanon this summer, and are still doing right now, fits the definition of terrorism perfectly, they practiced collective punishment on a nation, killed hundreds of innocent civilians, using illegal weapons, and specifically targeted civilian infrastructure, to achieve political ends. and still after the resolution calling for the ceasefire and an end to the siege, Lebanon is still under heavy blockade by the Israeli military. not only that, but they broke the ceasefire several times too, completely ignoring the UN resolution. Israel is a terrorist state, which is much worse that having a terrorist organization. yet we support them blindly.

Israel acts out of response. You are criticizing them for tracking down and bringing justice to the people who murdered their unarmed, innocent athletes. If the murder of innocent, unarmed people just because they are Jews is not terrorism, I don't know what is.

Lebanon admitted to killing and capturing Israeli soldiers. That is what started this latest conflict. If Lebanon cared about her people, she would not have started a war by attacking the Israeli military.

When the War on Terror is over....Israel will still be Israel.

When the War on Terror is over....many Arab countries will have a more modern, democratic view.

When the War on Terror is over....people like you will have a different view point.

Thanks for the 2 points

Hezbollah's stated REASON FOR EXISTENCE is the extermination - yes, extermination which means DEATH - of the Jewish people. Hamas, the Palestinian group, is no different.

What Israel did is no different than what the Allies did with the nazis in WW2. Were we terrorists simply because we were defending ourselves? Yes, the war was in Europe but they eventually would have come over here to North America if they conquered England. SELF-DEFENCE is not a crime. If I attack you, are you a bully if you fight back?

What is the problem.

I wish that my British government would learn a lesson from the Israeli's.

I am fed up with Mr Blair and his pals sitting on the fence whilst "enemies" of my country commit acts of terrorism against my countrymen. The government has a duty to protect us all and should use the full force that it has at its disposal. If that means "blowing up" or "assassinating" terrorists hiding in another country then lets do it.
Lets hunt down and kill those that commit crimes against us.

The "goody, goody" let's talk approach does not work.

Kill all enemies of the state,-rant-rant-rant-rant-rant-rant.........
