how should be the size picture for converting in a good icon for pc like(picture must be visible in the icon)

i think an .ico file needs to be 32x32 pixels

Icons are usually 16x16, 32x32 or 64x64 pixels.

use thumbnails in folder view, after selecting the picture as an icon.

Just make a & save it as .BMP & Save it. Lets say you saved it as "Test1.BMP" just Rename it to "Test1.ico" Then you can select it as a icon. This is just a simple way without using any 3rd party softwares. -Dr.Doom
