I am 25 years younger than my husband so if you two love each other, and think it is right then enjoy yourselves and don't worry about what anyone else says. I am so chuffed that you are not pushing her for sex, you should be proud of yourself.

I dont think you should worry at all.

You should bear in mind that the age gap will seem much smaller as time moves on. The only word of caution I would give is that this is a very important time in both your lives. If either of you are still in education or training of any kind, please make that your priority. I know you will probably have heard this a million times before, but you can never go back.

I am 34 and although I love my family, I desperately wish I had finished my education before settling down. It need not change your lives but it will enhance them.

Dont look back when you are older and have any regrets!

It's your life, not anybody else's. You two are the only ones who have a say in this.

Trust me, there are much larger age gaps out there. I've read about a 20-year-old and a 70-year-old somewhere before so don't worry about it.

The older you get, the less and less of a gap this will seem.

It is illegal first of all even though gap is not that big it makes a world of difference for someone who is just 16. If you love her I think you should remain friends w/o sex until she has a chance to grow up some. A girl at 16 should not be making life changing decision based on a boyfriend she is not mature enough in my opinion.

well done on loving this girl and respecting her wishes to wait to have sex.
4years might seem like a gap now but when she 20 and ur 24 it will look like nothing, if u both love each other then who gives a toss what anyone else thinks. my partner is 14yrs older than me and ppl said we wouldnt last now 4yrs on we have a child together and r still very much in love. be happy. hugs.

Hmmm...I think it's probably OK, as long as you keep it non-sexual. Otherwise, you could be in legal trouble for being with a minor. The fact that she wants to wait, and you are willing to, speaks volumes about both of you. It appears that you respect each other, and obviously care about one another. So my opinion is that you should be happy and not worry about what others have to say.

This is the most mature and reasonable type of friendship bro.!
like you opened my eyes to love!Anyways the bsets way to lov her and have sex is after marriage, coz under legal jurisdictions its adultery and 100% a sin! no matter what religion!
Its really gud to have a Gf of a smaller age coz she would not try to boss around you, secondly women dig elder men!Thirdly she is mature enough for you!

At the moment the age gap seems so large, but in a few years when she is around twenty the gap will seem much smaller. Then when you get to my age it will seem nothing at all.

I am 23 and my husband is 30. I'm mature, he's slightly immature (ha ha), and it works great.

However, I really think you you need find something else to do until she's 18. Anything before that is illegal, and you don't want the possibility of getting in trouble. Also, she is still growing up (as are you!), and you need to give her time to make sure of who she is and what she wants.

Of course, ultimately, it's up to her parents/guardian, because she's a minor.

Good luck!
