yes, other people can really impacty how you feel about yourself especially if they tear you down enough times. Don't let it happen . Realize your own worth and seek out opportunities to continue to grow.

I think we all have weaknesses that people can take advantage of. A person with really high self esteem just has fewer weaknesses than one with low self esteem. Still if the right person hits on just the right issue it can bring down even those with the highest of self esteem. After all none of us are perfect.

We are very strong and very brittle at the same time...sometimes someone can come to us and tells us something that makes us very bad, and our esteem get low and low.. It is no important what really this person told us that thing.. but we start to feel something is not going well.. as before.. It depends on the moment, on the reason, on the person.. So try to find out why this person did this to you, for what, when, and how.. and maybe you will find all answers and you will discover that this person was completely wrong or maybe you can tell THANK YOU be cause now I can be a better person thanks your words...

I would say yes, Example if you were with someone you really loved and have been with for a while, you have good esteem the person you are with starts doing drugs or drinking and you have a big problem with it. You watch this person through away his/her life you will begin to let your spirits down and second guess yourself because you can't help that person. Plus when people or weaker than the other they tend to accuse people of things or say things that can be hurtful. If a person hears it often enough they might begin to believe it.

Only if you agree to it. Most people with high self esteem already know their worth, which does not depend on another person's opinion, that's why it's called SELF esteem. There are however some people who have OTHER esteem, and their opinion of themselvess depends entirely on other people's opinions about them. Very scary and unpredictable.

Only if we let them! So don't let them. If these people can't be a positive in our lives, then we need to find people who are. Also our self esteem should not be based on our looks, our exterior, this is a very dangerous thing. Our self worth should really only be based on who we are as individuals....our true selves are who we are inside...NO ONE can take that from you. If you are a beautiful person, who can take that from you? Your value is in how you treat others. k, that's my best advice sweetums! Best wishes ;)

Yes, I believe they can. If someone is belittling you all the time, or even just down on themselves you may start to have issues yourself because you feel you should be able to fix them and when you can't it messes with your own well being.

No one can make you feel anything without your permission . It is your mind and what ever enters is up to you to ignore or worry over .
