I'm only 20 but my grandma who is 71 just had her birthday party. I mean it's nothing amazing but we have family over for good food and cake. People can give gifts if they want ( I did at least)

You betcha and I'm waaaaaay over 21. Everyone should celebrate the fact of their birth and the person they've become and will begin to evolve to.
Birthdays, anniversaries are special times to celebrate. Too many people once they get over thirty think their world is going downhill and there's nothing left. I'll celebrate every year my becoming a wiser more compassionate person.

I am 58 as of today as I write this answer. Some have a party, some do nothing, but I can tell you what I used to do and what I do now. There are things I think about. For example, I think about the Earth in orbit and I've now made that many round trips and guess what? Free! No ticket! I've had free trips around the solar system!
What I used to do: I made a phone call to my parents (the Navy stationed me far away from their house) and I made it known that they did a good job raising me. I thanked them for making me the person I am. My parents were good people and my best of friends after I moved out on my own.
And then, my father died suddenly from a blood clot in his leg which got to his lungs, and then my mother a couple of years later from a massive stroke, passed away... sigh... I miss the talks I had with my mother.
Now, I take a walk, late at night, on the night of the day of my birth. I am fortunate to live in a rural, wooded area of the pacific northwest, and there are mostly trees all around me, almost a forest except for where they cleared a section to plant a foundation for a house here and there. I can see the sky and the stars and the city lights are far enough away that they do not dim the sky, and I can see the milky way and everything, and I thank my lucky stars, all of them that I can see that I am here and in the now of my life.
By the way, I give gifts to others in my life on my birthday. I know, this is oppopsite to what most people do, but I want to give people something to remember me by, and that means I give them a gift, I impart something of myself to them. If they gave me one, what does that signify in the grand scheme of things? If I give a gift, then maybe after I am gone myself, I will live on with that gift or a maybe from the favor I do for some nameless stranger and thus become immortal...

I'm 34 and I definitely celebrate. Typically I spend it with my family, particularly since my 93-year-old grandmother has the same birthday. I start plotting my cake about 10 months in advance. Birthdays are awesome.

I am 34 and I shall celebrate my birthday every year till I die!
I celebrate by doing special things for myself, like not going to work, eating a little extra, just some nice small things for myself

I passed 21 40 years ago. I celebrate my birthday with my family every year. Sometimes they drink beer. I don't but I wish I could. I am allergic to it.

I am 46 and my birthday is on New Years Day. I have a daughter that was born on Christmas day. Every year we have a New Years Eve party at my house with all the kids and grand kids.
I will be 47 and she will be 25 this year.

Have stopped celebrating since 12. I'm sure there're some people who didn't celebrate it a single time in their life.

I have stopped celebrating my birthday since my 21st. Oh yeah, I am 32 now.
And since a couple of years ago, I told my close friends I am not accepting any more birthday gifts cos I felt I am old enough to get myself whatever I need. I am happy with the decision.
