So the other day, the mouse to my computer accidentally came unplugged. I tried plugging it back in, restarting my computer, and even shutting the whole thing down and back on. But it still won't work. HELP!?

Open device manager and look under mice and other pointing devices.Uninstall the mouse there, then scan for hardware changes. The system should find and reinstall the mouse. If not then either the mouse or the mouse port is bad.Turn off the computer and try swapping the keyboard and mouse cables. If the keyboard quits working and the mouse works, you have cooked the port.
If the mouse still does not work, buy a new mouse.

mouse usually doesn't come out of its port.
So, if u have made that happen, there is every chance that u have broken a pin.

Carefully examine if u have any pins broken and stuck in the port.

Meanwhile, get a usb mouse for current use.

Are there any pins bent? Are you sure you are plugging it in the right port? Try a different mouse and see if it works, if not your port is bad...if it is a round port, get a USB mouse.

what port u use? usb or ps2?

once i found this problem in ps2.. the pin is bendded, i fix this then its work..

else.. the cable could be damaged.. use cable tester to see if its fine..

else.. just buy new mouse.. its only $2.5
