I don't know how it could be stopped, but I do believe it is very cruel. When I was younger I didn't understand what bullfighting was.
In cartoons and movies it's just a guy teasing a bull. When I realized that these bulls get stabbed with several sharp knives, and end up painfully bleeding to death, I was shocked and horrified. Then again I don't agree with how cattle are killed in slaughterhouses. There are more humane ways of doing things.
I've boycotted KFC for years because of how they treat their chickens. Don't get me wrong, I still eat chicken and occasionally beef. But you can hurt an animal while killing them, or you can just let them go to sleep. Who knows really?

It depends on where the bullfight is held and whether or not the bull is stabbed to death by the matador.
Providing no killing takes place (as the bull doesn't really have a chance in such situations), I fail to see why it should be a problem... PETA may call it explotation, but bulls are pretty dangerous and can get lucky once in a while. Love to see it when the matador gets it.

I would agree with that, but I'm a meat eater. I love my cheeseburgers!
I have no problem killing an animal for food. Since I was a child, my family would butcher a sheep or pig for a feast.
I also love to watch rodeos, especially bull riding. In that contest, the bull usually wins.

Not really--they're only bulls. It's not as if they're fighting white tigers or Asian elephants. A bull is a bull, and there are many of them around. It doesn't affect me at all, so I'm not going to worry about it. I'm more concerned with the number of people in our country (USA) who have cancer, AIDS, who are starving on the street, or young children who have leukemia.

Not really.. in bull fighting I am always cheering for the bull. Once he is let out of the cage its pretty much a fair fight.

Part one: definitely
Part two: you can't make people stop doing things they like. They need to be educated to realize it's not a good thing.
