DNS is the way your computer converts a URL into a routable IP address.

A DNS error is your computer's way of telling you it can't find the IP address for a URL, for what ever reason.

This could be caused by a number of reasons, namely your computer losing contact with its DNS server specific, or a general loss of connectivity (i.e disconnection from the internet).

Its impossible to solve this issue without more detail in regards to your connection, and circumstances this problem is occuring. Consult your ISP or Sysadmin.

DNS error means, Either you have a conectivity problem in you internet browser or The Web site name is incorrect. Since you say DNS error is showing up i dont thin you are typing a wrong Web address. its Probably a problem with your internet configuration. Reset the ADSL or DSL Router & set it up again, Refer the manual of it for your local parameters or consult an Senior PC guy who would get it done for you. Don't worry everything will be fine. Also can i ask you, if you couldnt connect to Internet how did you post this Answer ? did u use someother PC ? - Dr.Doom

DNS is the server (Domain Name Server) which turns "www.website.com" into an IP address. When you get the error, it merely means that your Domain Name Server is not workign properly. Wait a bit, and try again.
