You should not have 2 antivirus programs running at the same time...they will conflict with each other and severely slow down your computer. Uninstall Norton...it's crap anyway. If you want a good firewall, use ZoneAlarm...it's free too.

No. do not placed the two on your pc, that could desire to be over kill and a significant hog, on account that norton initially is a significant source hog. to not point out the reality which you're able to in no way have greater then one virus protection application put in on your pc. Now if this is as much as those 2 i might screw the Norton internet protection, because it is the worst one and motives a great time lag and pass with the Norton Antivirus. yet while it have been me i might forget approximately norton all at the same time and pass with the lots friendly AVG, that wont reason your pc to lag. it delivers a loose and and paid version of it.

Adaware is just to remove spyware, spybot is for the same thing. Antivirus software whether Norton or McAfee are to spot and remove VIRUSES. It's like you buying gloves to keep your head warm.....you need a hat AND gloves.....*sigh*
And a firewall is always a good idea even with ALL those other things.

Norton is a dire product, I used to have all sorts of problems. I now run Zone-Alarm, AVG Free, Ad-aware & Spybot & have no problems at all,. They are all free & usually recommended by computer mags. Dont have Norton & dont have 2 anti-virus progs on one PC.

Norton AV is not a firewall, its a poor Anti-Virus program that is targeted by many virus writers cos of its popularity, replace with either Kaspersky or Nod32, as for firewall try Sygate or Outpost.

NO - I have lost count of the number of freinds who have had issues with the free Norton trial product.
Make sure you completely remove Norton from your system and use AVG - set AVG to check for updates everytime you connect and you wont go far wrong
