Should women rule the world?

Women can work hard, play hard and do almost anything and everything a man can do!
Men have being ruling ever since so why can't a woman rule?

I think making sweeping statements is always a big, fat folly for anyone to make.

Stating "Women should rule the world because they'd be better than men," is making a presumtion that men all have the same characteristics as each other, and in the same way, women are all equally matched. Therefore you are insinuating that the characteristics *every* woman shares are more suited to Ruling the World than the qualities possessed by *all* men. When there is simply no evidence for this. In fact, it's a bunch of post-femminist, art school rubbish. Back in the 1930s Adolf Hitler said one group should rule because they had better qualities than other groups. That was called fascism.

Today, more than ever before, people are looking past race, gender and age to see what someone has to say in all parts of life, including politics and World Domination. So should women rule the world? No. People should.

Would the world really be a better place? I do not know. We are as capable as men, we could make it work. In order to rule anything and rule it well, we must be as ruthless and sometimes as heartless as men. It is a bit like running a household, just on a much bigger scale. It is still up to the people to make it happen though.
Personally, I know I could not do it. I am too emotional, when I get mad, frustrated, confused etc, I say nothing or I cry. I does not make me weak or a wimp, but I know I would rule with my heart and really I do not think it is a very good strategy. Well in fact, I think I will leave "ruling" to men, but we all know that there is always a woman whispering in his ear. Maybe that is where the real power is eh!

It's a good idea in theory. But we can't get away from the fact that it is a mans world!
Although women probably do rule the world in a way we just work behind the scenes. Getting the men to do what we want.

Can you imagine men ruling the world without women? Even Hitler had to have Eva Braun.
It's alright saying men fight, but who for?
Would my wife like it if I shook hands with the male that called her a slag?
And she is 83.
I work on the basis I am too old and weak to fight more than one blow, but I would use my last breath to do it.
Take any army unit overseas.
Some female sings and they hang their faces so no one sees their eyes then rush off to write home. Or at least they used to.

If in a fair competition a woman wins - then thats great! Anyway, if a woman is the best MAN for the job. then so be it. Women can, and should. To a large extent most societies have adjusted to accept it as a fact that a woman can make a great ruler. We remember Margaret Thatcher of Great Britain; Indira Gandhi of India; Sirleaf Johnson of Liberia etc - the list is endless. So woman be encouraged!

Well... Some women have 'ruled'. Take Margret Thatcher for example.

She was one of the best Prime Ministers the UK has had for centuries.

People usually say women cannot 'rule' because they are too emotional. Well... Maybe thy are emotional but is that really a bad thin g?

Elections should be held without ever seeing the candidate. They should post all their platforms and opinions online for everyone to read. Their actual identities should be kept secretive until they are elected or voted down. There must be extreme security measures to ensure that everything they say is checked and double checked. I think we'd see more women, blacks, and younger persons in office. They'd have to be elected on their platforms and political positions, their accomplishments and qualifications. Their public speaking ability, which has destroyed many candidates chances , and personal appearance, good or bad, or even physical handicaps would become irrelevant.

I don't think either sex should have total control but I DO think women are as capable as men and should have the opportunity to participate more. I think there would be far less war in the world if more women were in power.
