Usually it lasts 7 to 8 days. This time on the 3rd day I have found a very large clot (the size is by and large half a chicken egg) and it stop abruptly at that moment. Can anyone explain why this happened to me? it never happened to me before and I am afraid it might be a sign of something (disease, miscarriage though I don't believe I was pregnant, etc...)

Yes it is obviously that I had sex otherwise I shouldn't mention any miscarriage but I was during my safe period when he ejeculated inside so I doubt any pregnancy.

Change in diet, medication or exercise routine? Check with your doctor so you will know for sure.

It would be wise to talk to your doctor about it, however from my own experience it has happened a couple of times. I can only say that my doctor told me it could be larger portions of lining from the uterus expelling itself from your body. It is very unlikely, since your period was on time...just shorter...that it was a miscarriage. If your period was heavy flow just short in duration the likely-hood of you being pregnant is slim...It may be because you were under more stress this month, your diet and excersize regimen has changed considerably, etc....that the length of your period has changed. Either way, if you are worried about pregnancy wait a few days and take a pregnancy test...if it comes up negative and next month the same thing happens you definately should talk to your doctor about causes for the change in your period.
