its my friend's bday partee... its gonna be fun!

Mostly wishing I were someplace else, tucked up under a thick eiderdown, with a bottle of the best and some hot buttered toast, listening instead of reading...
But I have to assist a good friend at a competition with her horse on Sunday, so no socializing with friends, until late, in the pub on Saturday evening (which would be most welcome after hearing my name trip from the tongues of all the bratts at the stables, at least a thousand times, it's hell to be so popular!). I am sure I will have fun, and put myself to good use by being at her disposal.
It won't stop my daydreaming though...

I daursay I'll be counting crows.. It's been a long week and theres reason to believe maybe this weekend will be better than the last. I cant remember all the times I tried to tell my myself to hold on to these moments as they pass. And its two more days up in the auld toun, and its one more coffee near Holyrood. Its been so long since Ive seen England.. That soon I should.

Your question is very timing. As a matter of fact, yes, for the first time in months I have a life again. I'm having an out-of-town vacation in some resort with my cousins, yeah! I haven't seen them in a while so I bet it's gonna be fun.

Well, I won't be getting in the pool this last weekend of the summer. It's going to be rainy and in the low 70s. I guess we'll be hanging out at the movies and the bowling alley. We're becoming alley rats!

We're going for a ride up the beautiful Italian Amalfi Coast on Saturday, and preparing our five year old for his first day of Kindergarten on Tuesday!
