Actually not.- for one of the first times in history, americans didn't vote with their paychecks at the last presidential election. But rather on faith based issues of gay marraige and abortion. Most of the economically disadvantaged in the country have financially suffered for their support of these causes, and the Bush administration.

So- they've put imposing their morality upon others, above their personal paychecks. An interesting sociological study- and some evidence that Karl Rove is a marketing genius.

Is it a coincidence that 38% of Americans support Bush? No, I'd say it's a disgrace.

That number doesn't surprise me since almost twenty-eight percent are on Social Security. Which is sort of ironic because it won't be here soon solely because of Bush and his mis-policies.

And half of that twenty-eight percent are Brussels Sprouts, which ARE your typical Bush supporters.

When they all croak or Social Security goes the way of the dodo, if Bush's supporters drop to ten percent, you'll know you're onto something!

But then, I have no doubt whatsoever that he can do away with term limits and keep getting re-re-re-reelected on ten percent of the votes or less.

I am a rebel without a clue and you are beginnig to sound like me .
IT is no coincidence that he who controls the cash is king .Ask any kid who cleans his room to get some cash to go to the movies .
IF cash is the motivator behind all things what are we .
He dropped below thirty percent at one point so some people needed to be re-convinced of his power to control the purse strings . SOME messures sat around and waited till people learned who is incharge .HOLDING back funds that would normaly be released back to the states is a good way to do this and effective too .

38% of the people polled would probably vote Republican if Castro were on the ticket, 35% of the people polled would vote democratic if Hitler was their candidate and the remaining 27% are undicided. Just like real life it's the undecided (and independents) that sway the election.

38% of Americans are not government employees, or are you including things like Social Security payments, Medicare, Medicaid, and state and local governments? Even all those categories together might not be 38%

My husband is an avid Republican and he supports Bush...me I'm very anti-Bush and certainly not a Republican. He doesn't get his paycheck from the gov. (widsh he did he would probibly make more for less work!)
My brother is in the airforce and hates Bush's policies.

Nice Try Though!

I love it when the libs make themselves look stupid. Those who vote for a president because they expect to get a check ALWAYS VOTE DEMOCRAT. That is, in fact the only platform the Dems have, tax and spend ala FDR in 1935.

polls have been proven to reflect the intentions of the asker. Perfect ex. Cynthia McKinney(GA democrtae) led in the poll up until the election and guess what she lost. There is a poll out their for everybody!!!! so for you to assume that the Bush supporters are getting governments checks is like saying a liberals a good people (which we know is not true) Nice try though!!
