I hate this guy I work with, he thinks hes my boss and hes not. Hes a salesman at the dealership I work at. Yesterday we got into a fight because he thinks i need to be remined how important customers are. Idiot! I know my job and I do it the way I'm supposed to. Then today he makes a big deal about quarters in my cash drawer. Why does he care? Its not his problem or his business to worry about. I don't know what to do with this guy. He is in no way my boss. I told him I don't like the way he speaks to me and he still acts like hes my boss. It is so frustrating! Help!

That guy sounds like a dick. Ignore him and remember about 100 people a year choke to death on ballpoint pens. He could be one of those 100 this year. Thats just one of my manny little happy thoughts that get me through a bad day.

He sounds like a jack a**!! He just is one of those tough guys who has to think he is in control.. he was probably beat up in high school and now wants to think he is this cool boss like guy! I would tell him one more time .. stand tall look him in the face and say -- look you are not my boss, why don't you leave me alone and go do your job and quit worrying about what I am doing-- IF that doesnt work go to the boss over him and explain to him what is going on.. or throw out the "sexual harrasment" word and I bet it will come to an end?! Good luck.. I cant stand pricks like that!

Sounds like he's projecting himself on to you. Perhaps he's the one that's doing poorly and not doing what he knows he's supposed to do. So, in order to feel better about himself, he's lashing out at you to some degree in hopes of making you feel doubtful about yourself. If you like your job and you know how you're supposed to do it the way you were trained, seek advice from your own boss and explain to him about the situation. It could be you'll find out something that you didn't know.
A lot of people are like that, feeling some sort of empowerment especially with a woman. So he's thinking "okay I'm not doing my work right so I'll pick on someone I think is 'less stronger'". So, perhaps he's thinking by picking on you, it'll make him feel better. People who's usually the most guilty at something are the ones "yelling the loudest" if you get my drift. So talk to your boss and let him/her know you want this guy out of your sight off your back "or else".
Good luck!

I think the only way to handle this situation is to talk to your boss. Your real boss. Tell him/her what is going on. Let your boss know how he is acting toward you and I imagine he/she will be very protective of you since you are a good employee. Pple like that feel empowered to act that way. Unfortunately, there seems to be at least one at every place you work. Good luck, I hope you can resolve the situation.

You need to talk to your boss about this. You have confronted him about the situation and he knows how you feel, time to let the higher ups know about this. This is only an annoyance to you and it is probably interfering with your daily work. Try not to take this personally, he is obviously having some issues and taking it out the wrong way. Don't let him bully you like that.

You are definitely talking to the wrong person. If you continue to engage in disruptive behavior with this guy, it'll probably be you who loses your job! You need to talk to your supervisor. Make an appointment with him, and have documentation. Explain in a quiet voice how this man's interruptions interfere with your ability to do your job, and that you're concerned about the way customers will be affected.

Ugh! Don't you hate those people? I always humor them and then make fun of them in my head. It's not good advice, but it always works for me.
Sometimes I play a little game and see how much I can patronize those people without them noticing. It's really funny.
