Those are 2 very nice cities.
The train takes 1 hour and four minutes and it's a direct route.
Den Bosch to Amsterdam leaves every whole and half hour from platform 3. Amsterdam to Den Bosch leaves every 28 and 58 minutes past the hour from platform 2.
The last direct train from Amsterdam leaves at 22.58. After that you can still leave at 23.47 with a transfer in Utrecht, and after that your stuck in Amsterdam for the night!
A one-way ticket costs €12.70 and a return trip costs €22.70.

It is 1 hour and 4 minutes from Amsterdam Central Station to 's hertogenbosch ( also called Den Bosch). Here you will find an English train planner: http://www.ns.nl/servlet/Satellite?cid=1075985690180&pagename=www.ns.nl%2FPage%2FSuperHomepageEnglish&c=Page

It's about an hour. Direct train, several times per hour, until after 01:00 in the night.
visit www.ns.nl. They have an English version.
NS = Netherlands railways

Did it last week and it's an hour, direct connection, so no transfers need to be made.
