I have always heard that vinegar works on furniture to get rid of odors, but that would be leaving a cup of vinegar in, say and armoire or a china hutch. Vinegar's odors absorb other odors, and they disappear- it really does work! I wonder if you could wipe it down with vinegar and then wipe it again with something???

try febreze, put dryer sheets in the drawers, use baking soda to absorb the smell. If possible set outside to help get rid of the smell.in the sun of course

Spray with Lysol, leave outside on covered porch for a few days. Then spray with Febreze. That should do the trick.

Pack up your drawers with newspaper...close them and leave it in there for a few days. Take it out and your drawers should be fine. It worked for my mom.
Also, try dried cloves and cinnamon in cheesecloth. Make yourself some sachets to put into the drawers.

New new? As in supposedly never previously been used? If that's the cause, I'd send it back. Other than that...try febreze or something along those lines.

i would suggest that since this is new furniture, it needs to be returned. if you decide to clean it you will needs lots of elbow grease, furniture polish and cleaning aids. the main thing is it takes forever but does require a lot of cleaning.

NEW!!!! AS in you purchased it, from a dealer, etc. OR NEW TO YOU?
In either case, I'd pack it all and return it.
