I'm going this OCT. I've been there before this time of year and Its fine. The days are nice and warm and it cools down just right at night. It does get rainy, but it rains all the time in FLA so oh well. As for the tropical storms and hurricanes. Ive been there for two tropical storms and it was fine. Orlando is in the middle of the sate so the storms usually clam down by the time they reach the Disney area and its just rainy and windy! As for the Parks and the attractions. Lines aren't to bad, In October they are having mickeys not so scary Halloween party, you have to buy separate passes to go see it, but there's a parade and a show and kids go trick or treating throughout the park.(magic kingdom) kids also can trick or treat at the hotels i guess. Its a fun time to go because most people are working and kids are in school. Also at Epcot the Food and Wine festival is going on and you can go around the "world" and sample different types of food from different country's. I say its a great time to go!!!!!

I was in Orlando last October. Got chased out by hurricane Wilma. Besides that, the weather was very nice, only rained once - but since I'm from Southern Calif., where it never rains, it was very enjoyable. We waited for school to be back in session before visiting the Disney parks thinking it would be less crowded . . . NOT!!!! Have fun!

Whether is good, except that make sure you don't get caught in a Hurricane. The season starts from September to November.

If you go, be careful to check for hurricane warnings and have alternative plans for if it rains.
