Should be perfect, the days are still warm. Just bring a light jacket or sweater as once the sun goes down, it can become a little chilly.

Area attractions should not be as crowded as they are in the summer.

When we go we always go in the last week of October (my sons birthday is the 31st). The weather usually is good, or great if your from MA.

The hurricane season is usually past by then. Rain, in three trips it rained twice, once for 20 minutes then the sun came back out.

Plus, most kids are back in school so your not fighting the crowds like you would during school vacations.

October is still going to be pretty hot.. even in Bithlo where Gretchen lives. Orlando has only a couple of weeks of "winter" every year. It may be crowded at the attractions: Sea World, Universal, and Disney World, because we have seasonal residents who come here when it's too cold in Minnesota.

I live about thirty minutes east of Orlando. October is good time to visit. It is still warm outside but the nights cool down a bit.

I went to Walt Disney World in October a few years ago and had good weather. Not very hot (70's), some rain, but nothing we couldn't handle. October is still hurricane season though, and hurricanes have been known to cause trouble in Florida, so bear that in mind.
