How old are you?
Did you know that the frontal lobes of your brain don't stop growing until you are about 25? Most of that growth happens during sleep.
That's why I let my 15-year old sleep in a lot. Ten hours and she is in reasonable shape. I want that brain to grow....now ASAP.
Some high schools in the U.S. are starting their classes later so that teens can get more sleep and function better in class.
I am much older and need about 7. My 86-year old mother needs about the same as my daughter. Interesting.

It depends upon your age. Teens need about 10 hours per night since their bodies are changing and growing. Adults need between 8-9 hours per night, though most do not get that much. Geniuses need as little as 4 hours per night.

Most people need between 7 & 8 hours sleep a night, although it differs in all people. Margret Thatcher claimed to only need 4 hours!

Some need 9hrs, some only need 7 or 8. I do good on 9 but my fiance does just fine on 6-7. Depends on your body. Try a few different senarios out this coming week. See what works best for you.

everyone is different. some people can only sleep 4 hours and wake up feeling refreshed and some need up to 10 hours or even more (yes even some adults need this much) the quality of the sleep you get is as important as the quantity.

"they" say 8 hours of sleep a night is recommended but really it depends on how much you need. If you feel great and perfectly rested after 5 hours than that is enough for you.
