Thank you for your reply to my groin question. In return...... You have to ask why is it misting up ? The usual suspects are a leaking heater matrix....that is the heat exchanger under the dash or, water or moisture in the car......if you have any of these you won't be able to stop the water condensing on your windsceen.
Regards

On most cars when you turn the air direction knob so that air is going onto the windshield that turns on the air conditioner to direct cold air there. It is intended to cool the window's inside enough that it will not fog up. It means that you are already running the air conditioner when you don't want to.

I clear mine by directing the air to there and then turning the temperature up to hottest. In less than a minute (before I even feel that heat) the stream of ot air has gotten rid of the fog. I then turn the temperatrue back to where I really want it.

(i will try those wipes and sprays that others mentioned - they sound easier, when I have them in the car)

I couldnt name any products for you as Im in Australia and our products are probably named differently to you but my suggestion would be go to a car parts and accessories shop (Repco, Bursons, Super Cheap Auto - if you have any of these shops or what ever you have near by) and ask for a spray to use... another suggestion is here we have self serve car wash places and you can buy anti-fog wipes from a vending machine.

Quickest way to clear the window depends on the outside temp. The fan plus heat, if it is cool. Without, if it is warmish.

Open the window. Nature is good.

Try not to look at a/c as "air" in its true meaning.

General health care category? hrm... anyway... :)

Run the fan at low speed. The temperature setting doesn't matter. The air push will evaporate the mist.

Clean the inside of the windshield with one of those anti-fog products and keep a window slightly open.

Make sure the recirculated air switch is not on, why don't you want to use the a/c?
