It was a joke...at the expense of guys who get really upset at shirts like that....
For every act of discrimination in housing, employment, society...if there were one dollar given back to those people who have lost opportunities....there wouldn't have to be welfare.
Keep your nose to the grindstone and be grateful that you live in a country that isn't in civil war because your ancestors stole people from their land and liberty.

Just let them be. Not all black people abuse the system, you'll find a lot of other races doing the same thing. And your statement about it being the "generation of african teens", was untrue. I have three younger cousins in college right now, on the deans list. You can go to seattle and see half of the white people there displaying signs that read "will work for weed", that doesnt mean that all white people are lazy and only want to get high.

The only thing you can do is raise your family the best way you know how. I work at the welfare office and I get angry all over again every day. There are lots of people (of all colors) that really think the state owes them a living. thier day will come. In the county I work in and for most of the country, you can only get cash aid for so long and then you're done. No more. Sooner or later they end up on the street or in a homeless shelter. I had an older man ask me once if we had a retirement program that he could sign up for. Astounding! I had to tell him that you only get retirement if you work. He was so shocked. The problem (or one of them) is that most people who ask for aid are good people that really need help because of some situation they couldn't control. One family had just moved to our area, the dad had a new job at a local car repair place. two little kids. Dad was in a car accident on the way to his first day of his new job and lost both his legs. He had only a HS diploma and could no longer work in a job that required him to be phisical. They got cash aid, medi-cal and he was sent to school to learn to do work that he could do behind a desk. They moved on and we never saw them again. The rest are what we call repeats. They are on aid for years and then get stuck in old age with no place to go. The only way to stop it is to deny people with real problems. That's not going to happen. The repeats are the payment we make for helping those in real need.

i see where you coming from and understand why you would be so upset, but maybe the guy had just bought the shirt coz he liked the logo and maybe also tried to tick some white people off which he seems to have accomplished somewhat.....
just think of the dump thing i saw where a black woman was walking around with a "blondes have more fun" kind of shirt....
its just plain stupid that they dont seem to catch meanings behind logos and can either look like fools in the process or just end up upseting people so try not to take offense

I agree with you completely!!!! You have to understand is that they do it for attention. If we wore a shirt with a similar comment but worded differently then we'd probably be on the 5:00 news. Just ignore them and be proud that you are working for a living. Or you can call the 5:00 news.

Find out what company makes the t-shirts and deal with them. The guy wearing the t-shirt probably isn't even on welfare, but it's not really him you should be upset about unless he made the shirt himself.
It's companies that create these sorts of stereotypes that should be the target of your anger.

Chill !
It is just a t-shirt poking fun at the stereotyping of the welfare systems.
It's just like " I am with stupid " T-shirts.
I think you should ease off a bit. People from all ethnicity are milking the systems.
