chat rooms, there is a website that is called meetup.com and there are groups that meet up all over the country, you can start a group in your area or attend the ones that are already established.
I'm in New York, I attend fashion meet up and music meet up and women social group meet up monthly. it is cool you get to meeet up with people with common interest.
Also, take yourself out to seminars; plays, etc. meet people that like what you like and myspace forums and groups you make freiend like that, too.

Have a invite(social) party. Watch movies, get acquainted, break off in teams and play games, eat, and share beneficial girl information.

join social clubs, be a member of Lion's club and do social services will get good friends. "By helping others you will help yourself".
