Well, you see. The best way is to take things step by step. You've realised that you have a really high ego. Congrats! It's the first step.
You can't remove it like deleting files from your PC. You need time and sure, read more books that would improve your personality and you must always remember that ego doesn't bring you anywhere, including dating. It will just make the girl feels like she is not cared for and intimidate her due to your high ego levels.

You can still have a high ego and communicate with the girls. But part of the communication is listening to what other people have to say. Just become a good listener and keep your mind open to what a women wants and needs.

Look at the truth in the mirror. You are not perfect and you should be ashamed of yourself. You have been a very bad boy and need to be spanked. You need to be tied to a bed while on your stomach and your butt needs to be spanked until it is cherry red. You need to be taught that pride is a sin and that there are others in the world who are so much stronger and more worthy of affection and attention than you are. You have to have a good strong woman who is not afraid to place one sharp stiletto heel on the small of your back and pull your hair until you cry for mercy.
