I agree with the above - please provide some references for all this. As a note from World War Two the US Navy in the Pacific did very well indeed against suicide boats. I suspect that the current generation of rapid fire close in antimissile systems would do even better. As for as North Korea they have no power projection at all. They could do a little damage with long range missiles but they have no way of moving troops to Japan much less Alaska. Like any high tech military force we do not do well in urban conflicts or insurrections. But the US Navy and Air Force is still the definitive force projection system in the world.
