There is no height restriction exactly. There are different types of modeling, for "runway" modeling you should be 5'10" or better. For print modeling, the job defines what they want but height isn't usually an issue because it's a "look" they want. There are feature models (hand, arm, etc) and height is not an issue there and lastly there are character models (funny face, ugly people, unusual faces, etc) and sometime height is part of the appeal.
You get paid a lot per job but will most likely not see many jobs unless you relocate to a place where the jobs are more frequent.
One last thing, for runway models (where there is usually a minimum height) there also requirements for body dimensions. For example if your a "chicken hawk" with a large upper body but no leg development, that is an issue. Most agencies have a requirements chart based on height and what proportions your limbs should be in (length and circumference).
And NO respectable agency will sell you photography. A black and white or plain color photo with you in a solid black/white shirt is the norm. They want a base photo, they don't need you flexing at the beach and what not, the job decides what they want you to do. You will want to put together a "comp" (compilation) card with your various best work from previous jobs. Those pics are themed. Just don't get screwed by an agency selling "pictures".
Hope this helps.

Runway models are typically tall, around 6 feet and taller. Height isn't the only concern though since most runway shows prefer guys with a defined V. If you're very muscular and have a thicker torso, you still get runway jobs but usually get relegated to underwear and jeans.
Print and commercial modelling would suit you better if you have the look the client wants (boy next door, jock, emo, ethnic, etc.) but aren't necessarily tall.
What Brandon said is correct so I'll just add one more thing. Aside from your physical attributes, the people who decide whether or not to use you for a job are looking for the right attitude. We'll take some "attitude" from someone with credentials but a newcomer who is hard to work with won't be picked from a cattle call the next time around. It's a relatively small industry so if you're not professional about your work, everybody will hear about you eventually. Even male models can be divas sometimes. Be nice to everyone (that includes the hair and makeup people, stylist, and especially the photographers) because they can influence your career.
On the other hand, if you're professional and have a great personality (aside from having the look we need), it's not uncommon for us to help you get bigger and better jobs in the future.
Good luck!

To fulfill a requirement to be a male model, you need to have a height of 5 feet 11 at the minimum. At 6 feet, your dreams to be a model is guarenteed. You have to have a suave and killing look as well. Not just a body.

I'm with Racquel, VERY nice there hon. (If that IS you.)
The minimum height for a male fashion model (runway) is 5'11". There are some exceptions where the man is 5'9" or 5'10", but very rarely. With your build, you could probably make it if you are 5'9"-10".
If you are shorter, there are plenty of opportunities in commercial modeling that doesn't have strict requirements. Commercial print models are the models you see in ads, catalogs, billboards, magazines, etc.. They can be any height, build, age, it's commonly called "real people" modeling for this reason.

if thats your picture boy why you even asking..... *drool*... ;-)
but for males they usually aren't that fussy because as long as you able to strut your stuff and you above average height then go for it... i doubt you will have much to lose by trying.
