Quite a nice date. It's early Spring in the southern hemisphere. Just coming into Fall in N America.

I think of two things, one on the day and one later. I remember going to the World Trade Center and being overwhelmed at how big it was. The lobby was 4 stories tall! Then I look at the video of the buildings collapsing and I have never been able to reconcile those two things in my mind. These buildings were so vast yet they came down so easily.
The other thing I remember is when I visited ground zero for the first time about 3 years after 9/11. There was this big hole yet all around it lower Manhattan was getting back to normal. Business were open and there was the normal hustle bustle you would see anywhere in the city. New York had experienced a devastating wound but what I saw was the city healing.

overused as an excuse to scare the American people into sacrificing civil liberties. The day was single best thing to happen to the republican party in the past 6 years (aside from stealing the election of 2000). I wish King George II all the best trying to tie it into the upcoming attack on Iran.

It is my wedding anniversary. Also a very unfortunate thing happened in New York, Washington DC and Pennsylvania in 2001 on this date.

Seriously too--I changed my outlook on life on that date in 2001. I saw how the globe was heading. I saw people die. It woke me up. I am a different person now.

What do you think of August 29th, 2005? That changed my life even more.

i think back to the day. someone i didnt really get along with told me the WTC collapsed. he makes a lot of crap up so i didnt believe him. No one else seemed to know about it (at this time i was in a high school or middle school [forget which] in NJ) so i ignored what he said. In my last class of the day my teacher told everyone to tell their family they loved them. i thought it was strange to hear that. later when i got home to drop my stuff off (i planned to go out w/friends) i turned on the TV to see the weather for tonight. I then saw on the channel i turned on the plane crash into the towers and I yelled "oh ****" out loud. minutes later my mom came home and called everyone we knew that worked by the WTC. They were all ok. thank God

I think that the Government had something to do with the huge explosion. A plane couldn't do all that, and it started to crumble from the bottom up, not the other way around like it would if it was a plane that did it, a bomb on the other hand would.

It WAS a day of celebration for me and my family it being my eldest son's birthday, now it has become a day of remembrance to the cruel reality of what evil can be forced upon us, with no warning. A day where my heart will be in prayer while my face is celebrating for my son who turns 16 this year

May God be with US

Love an' Peace xxx

Not a lot, its the day after th 10th and the day before the 12th. I quite like the 1st of May its makes you think the summer is comming (here in Europe). Obviously my Birth Date is the best because its mine.

Well that was a very sad day for everybody especially for the families that had loved ones past-away. It was really hard to watch that. I just hope nothing happens this 9/11.
