First get here legally. If you have something to offer and are willing to work hard you will not have a problem. Do not expect to live of the tax payers.
You might have to take lower paying jobs initially.
Please do not expect us to sponsor your lifestyle while you get your act together. It is very expensive to live here for us tax payers.
I am a professional women born out of the country but born with us citizenship. I have an accent (moved here as an adult) and I still encountered discrimination. Make sure you speak the language correctly.
Behave in a professional manner and do not be a burden to anyone.

No. There are plenty of people who are not Americans that have jobs in the U.S. There are a lot of Americans out of work. I think it's easier for non-Americans to get work. That and the number of jobs that are out sourced to other countries. I'll probably never get a job again unless I move to another country to answer the phone for an American country.

Depends on a lot of factors, but at least you should the "permission" to work in the US. There's always work to do.
