Hi,

It depends what you're doing with it I suppose... But maintaining basic aseptic techniques should prevent contamination. What that means sterilising all of your equipment before use.. If this is in the lab then using a laminar hood would stop contamination, alternatively performing all techniques under a flame (ie bunsen burner) will prevent anything landing in your solution..

Hope that helps!

RE:
how to prevent contamination in bacterial aerobic fermentation?

You can get a trap of the kind used for beermaking. This is a sort of S-bend made of glass which is filled with a sterile solution that won't come into contact with your fermentation but provides a liquid airlock, as it were. The gas from the fermentation bubbles through the solution but airborne bacteria can't get through the liquid into the fermentation.

I hope you aren't making weapons of mass destruction, BTW.

Hi:
The key is to maintain sterility, of ALL input material, except your starter culture, of course!
I'm not sure what aerobic fermentation you refer to, but you could have some antibiotics to prevent contamination (anti-fungal or antibacterial- in the case of fungal fermentation, as the case may be).

Just be honest. Be kind but when you feel someone is taking advantage of your kindness, nip it in the bud, just say "now you're trying to take advantage of my good nature, and that ain't gonna happen." Be definite about it. If they start to argue or disagree with your statement, just shrug and walk away because that's how you felt and so stick with it. Most people who use other people are real real good at justifying their demands and transferring the guilt or blame onto you--just don't allow that to happen. It may mean you will sometimes have to show your prickly, steely side but so be it. And if you are consistent every time, people will begin to understand that you have your limits and to not try to push you beyond that. You can still be kind most of the time, just know where your own limits are and stick to them, don't let others push you around.

Hi,
the material should be subjected to following steps. first step is sterlisation process by uv rays.this is followed by covering process(air should enter the material).then covered material should be placed in -`c temperature at which no baterial particle could live.
